QJB3/8-620 Cast Iron Submersible Mixer for Anaerobic POME Pond

In an anaerobic pond the sludge blanket must stay in contact with the incoming effluent, otherwise the bottom solids consolidate into a dense layer and the working volume of the pond disappears. The QJB3/8-620 uses a 620 mm propeller at 480 r/min to produce 2400 N of thrust, enough to keep a 40 metre long anaerobic pond in motion with two or three units while consuming only 3 kW each. The cast iron housing resists the abrasive grit carried in palm oil mill effluent.

Voltage and Certification for Malaysia and Thailand

Standard supply includes 415V / 50Hz / 3 phase for Malaysia and 380V / 50Hz / 3 phase for Thailand, with 220V single phase and 60Hz options on request. Motors can be supplied with SIRIM or TISI documentation support, CE marking and ISO 9001:2015 factory certification. English manuals, wiring diagrams and installation videos are provided for mill site teams.

Packing, Shipping and After Sales

Each unit is wrapped in waterproof film, fixed on a steel frame and packed in a fumigation-free plywood case suitable for sea freight to Port Klang, Penang, Bangkok or Laem Chabang. Spare mechanical seals, O-rings and a propeller are recommended as site stock. A 12 month warranty covers the motor and mechanical seal under normal operating conditions.

FAQ

Will the mixer stir up grit into the outlet?
The unit is normally mounted 300 to 500 mm above the pond floor and aimed parallel to the long axis, which keeps solids moving without pushing grit into the outlet box.

Is a low speed version better than a high speed one?
For anaerobic ponds yes, low speed high thrust units keep the sludge blanket mixed with less shear and lower power per cubic metre.
