Before a lagoon is desludged, the settled layer has to be turned back into a pumpable slurry, otherwise the desludging contractor removes water and leaves the solids behind. The QJB10/12-600/3-480 is built for that job: a 1200 mm duplex stainless propeller, a heavy cast iron HT250 gearbox and thrust bearings sized for 9500 N of continuous load. Run it for 24 to 48 hours before pumping and the sludge layer becomes a uniform 4 to 6 percent slurry that a standard sludge pump can handle.

Packing, Shipping and After Sales

Each unit is wrapped in waterproof film, fixed on a steel frame and packed in a fumigation-free plywood case suitable for sea freight to Port Klang, Penang, Bangkok or Laem Chabang. Spare mechanical seals, O-rings and a propeller are recommended as site stock. A 12 month warranty covers the motor and mechanical seal under normal operating conditions.
